Annual Festival Celebrates the Patuxent River

The Patuxent River Appreciation Days reaches a milestone this year: The annual festival is 40!

Dozens of non-profit organizations that celebrate the river will present displays, exhibits, and educational activities. The annual PRAD parade will take place Sunday, Oct. 8, at 2 p.m.

The festival will take place 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, and Sunday, Oct. 8, at the Calvert Marine Museum in Solomons. Admission is free.
