Celebrate the Taste of the Beaches
Combine a block party vibe with great food, and you’ve got Taste the Beaches!
The event will take place Saturday, Sept. 14, from noon to 5 p.m. at Kellam’s Field, 3825 Gordon Stinnett Ave. in Chesapeake Beach.
The daylong event showcases local foods, beer, wine, non-food vendors and more. Food vendors will offer main courses, concessions, and desserts.
Kids menu items will be available! There will a large Kids Zone for the
children and live music by local musicians including John Luskey and Kenny
Holmes.
Plus Nancy Baker, food artist and owner of Starving Artz, will sculpt a large mermaid out of cookies during the event! Baker has been featured on the Food Network and has created sculptures for Busch Gardens Tampa, Williamsburg, Sea World Texas, and the National Zoo. Nancy is an award-winning art teacher from South River High School in Maryland.

Sip & Save Event Benefits ACLT
Save the land while sipping beer!
The American Chestnut Land Trust will host its Sip & Save fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 1 to 5 p.m. at ACLT’s North Side Trailhead, 676 Double Oak Road in Prince Frederick.
Beer-tasting tickets are $20 online and $25 at the door. All proceeds support ACLT’s work to protect and care for the land and waterways.
Local and regional breweries will be on hand with beers for sampling, and there will be a selection of local gourmet food. Bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets and enjoy music from Southern Maryland native Dylan
Galvin. Or, play a round of cornhole or yard pong!
