Learn about Hearth and Home in Early Maryland
How did Maryland’s earliest residents weather the winter?
During Historic St. Mary’s City’s Hearth and Home in Early Maryland event on Friday, Nov. 25, and Saturday, Nov. 26. The event takes place at the museum’s Visitor’s Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
Explore 17th-century foodways, and celebrate the end of the growing season. Discover what it took to weather the winter before refrigerators, electric stoves, and grocery stores. Bring a canned good for the Southern Maryland Food Bank and save $1 on admission! Cost is $10 for adults; $9 for seniors; $6 for youth; free for ages 5 and younger and Friends members.

See “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” in North Beach
Get into the holiday spirit with the Twin Beach Players’ production of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”!
The classic holiday play will be presented the next three weekends at the Boys and Girls Club, 9021 Dayton Ave. in North Beach.
The show begins at 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 25 and 26 and Dec. 2, 3, 9, and 10; and at 3 p.m. on Sundays, Nov. 27 and Dec. 4 and 11. Tickets are $15 general admission and $12 for seniors, students, military, and members.
In this hilarious Christmas classic, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids–probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won’t believe the mayhem—and the fun—when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas story head on!
