It’s the last weekend before Thanksgiving, and the holidays are in full swing in Southern Maryland! Here are three seasonal events happening this weekend that are sure to get you in the spirit.

111416-wreath-01Calvert Hospice Festival of Wreaths

Start the season at Calvert Hospice’s new holiday event, The Festival of Wreaths!

The event will take place Saturday, Nov. 19, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the College of Southern Maryland’s Prince Frederick campus.

Enjoy beautiful wreaths designed by local artists and businesses. Wreaths will be available for purchase, so come early for the best selection!

In addition to the wreath display, there will be a wreath-making workshop in which participants can create their own work of holiday art for their home for a nominal fee. Memorial poinsettias will be available for purchase, and local musicians will provide entertainment throughout the day. Children can visit with Santa, and everyone can enjoy creating crafts together in the workshop.

Admission is free. For more information, email [email protected] or call 410-535-0892.
