Want to have a great time and support a great cause? Check out a local fundraiser! Southern Maryland organizations know how to show their supporters a good time while raising money for their cause. Check out the events on the calendar in the region this weekend, including two big fundraisers.

Dine and Dance for the Dogs (and Cats!)

Help the homeless pets at the Humane Society of Charles County!

The organization’s Top Dog Dinner and Dance will take place
Friday, Feb. 21, from 6 to 10:30 p.m. at the Waldorf Jaycees, 3090 Crain Highway
in Waldorf.

Tickets are $65 per person and benefit the humane society and its work with homeless animals in Charles County. Group tickets and sponsorships are also available. To purchase tickets or sponsorships, visit https://humanesocietycc.org/event/top-dog-dinner-dance/.

The evening includes dinner, desserts, drinks, and dancing
to the music of The Fabulous Hubcaps. There will also be 50/50 raffles and
silent auction tables.

Mardi Gras Gala Benefits Local Seniors

Let the good times roll!

Grab your masks for the 2020 Mardi Gras Gala to benefit
Cedar Lane Senior Living. The event will take place Saturday, Feb. 22, from
5:30 to 10 a.m. at Olde Breton Inn, 21890 Society Hill Road in Leonardtown.

This evening of excitement and intrigue begins with
cocktails and a meet at green at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m. You’ll
enjoy delectable hors d’oeuvres, a Louisiana-style dinner, live jazz music, a
cash bar with signature Mardi Gras drinks, door prizes, fundraising auctions,
and fun-filled games.

Tickets are $75 per person, and proceeds benefit the
residents of Cedar Lane Senior Living Community.

Historic St. Mary’s City Hosts Annual Bridal Show

Engaged? Congratulations!

Plan your wedding this weekend at the “A Taste of History”
Bridal Show! The event will take place Sunday, Feb. 23, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Historic
St. Mary’s City, 47418 Old State House Road in St. Mary’s City.

Vendors showcasing various aspects of your dream wedding day
will be set up in the reconstructed State House of 1676. The bridal show is
free if you register by Tuesday, Feb. 18; admission at the door is $5 per
person if you’re unregistered.
