New Year’s Eve is coming up fast, and two Southern Maryland museums are planning fun events to help you mark the occasion.

Celebrate New Year’s with the CMM Lighthouse Keeper!

Help get the Calvert Marine Museum’s lighthouse ready for New Year’s!

During this special event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 30, kids and adults can play 1930s games and help the lighthouse keeper decorate the lighthouse for the celebration. This program is included with museum admission; check the daily events schedule at the admission desk.

It’s Family Game Night at Annmarie Garden!

Bring the family out for fun and games and the garden in beautiful lights!

Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Arts Center will host a New Year’s Eve Family Game Night during its Garden in Lights Event. The garden will be open from 6 to 9 p.m.

Play a variety of family-friendly games and enjoy live music by Captain John. Then, stroll the garden for a beautiful walk through one-of-a-king light sculptures. The Hardesty Haven Holiday Café, gift shop, and ornament show will also be open.

Cost is $4 for ages 4 and older and free for members and children age 3 and younger. For more information, visit http://www.annmariegarden.org/.
