Cleanup Scheduled for Myrtle Point Beach

Join the local Sierra Club for a trash pickup to help keep local parks clean and wildlife safe!

The club will host a cleanup event at Myrtle Point Park Beach on Saturday, Feb. 3, from 10 a.m. to noon. The park is located at 24050 Patuxent Blvd. in California.

When you get to the park, take a right after the gated entrance. Participants will meet at the picnic tables beyond the first parking lot at 9:30 a.m. After gearing up, the group will head down the path to the beach and a co-leader will wait for latecomers. There will be a break for water/snacks and hand-wipes and gloves will be provided.

Participants should bring water, a hat or bandana, and first aid supplies. Long pants and layers are recommended. If volunteers have a trash picker upper, they should bring that as well!
