Summer will be here before you know it, and now is the time to start thinking about summer camps! There are so many fun and unique camp options in Southern Maryland that you’re sure to find something that piques your kids’ interests.

These are just a few of the organizations offering camp programs this summer; many churches, smaller private schools, and other organizations also offer camps during the summer.

All of Southern Maryland

College of Southern Maryland

CSM’s Kids’ and Teen College offers a variety of cam programs, from sports to cooking to coding and more. Half- and full-day programs are available at CSM campuses in Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s counties.

Calvert County

Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Arts Center

Explore creativity, nature, and more at the sculpture garden in Dowell. Kids will also meet working artists and learn about serving their community.

Calvert County Parks and Recreation

The county offers day camp as well as D.A.R.E. and junior sheriff programs. Therapeutic recreation camps are also available.

Get out and explore Calvert County’s natural world at the Calvert Nature Society’s summer camp program. Topics include animals, nature, birding, photography, and more. Camps take place at county-run parks.

Charles County Parks and Recreation

Melwood

Lions Camp Merrick

Lions Camp Merrick offers special summer camp programs for children who are deaf or blind or who have Type 1 Diabetes. Activities include canoeing, arts and crafts, swimming, fishing, campfires, games, and more. There are also programs for siblings and the whole family!

St. Mary’s County Parks and Recreation
