Celebrate Charles! A Fun-Filled Fourth
Celebrate Independence Day in Charles County!
Celebrate Charles! A Fun-Filled Fourth is a family-friendly event that will take place Monday, July 4, from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Regency Furniture Stadium, 11765 Linus Drive, in Waldorf.
Local vendors will showcase their talents in The Best of Charles County, an area that will local food vendors, artisans, and crafters. Kids of all ages can play all day in the Family Fun Zone. All-You-Can-Play-Wristbands will be available for $5 (cash only, exact change preferred).
You’ll also enjoy live local entertainment from Dub City Renegades (4:30 p.m.) and No Green JellyBeenz (7:30 p.m.). A dazzling fireworks display begins at 9:30 p.m.
Plus, ticket holders can enjoy a great game between the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs and the Somerset Patriots! The game begins at 7:05 p.m.
Admission to Celebrate Charles! is free, but there is a charge for Family Fun Zone wristbands, food, and marketplace purchases. A ticket is required to enter the stadium for the baseball game.
Seating outside the stadium is limited — bring your lawn chairs and blankets! Rain or shine.

Country Life Festival
The Country Life Festival will take place Friday, July 1, through Sunday, July 3, at the St. Mary’s County Fairgrounds in Leonardtown. Gates open at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 1; 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 2; and 11 a.m. on Sunday, July 3.
Admission is $10 per day for adults and $5 per day for kids age 5-12. Kids under 5 are free.
You’ll experience a one-of-a-kind event featuring exciting entertainment, contests, exhibitors, seminars, displays, hands-on fun, Saturday Night Fireworks, and an atmosphere of “Everything Country.”
Take part in a cornhole tournament, wing- and watermelon-eating contests, see the Ultimate Air Dog Show, sample craft and domestic brews, duck and goose calling competition, chainsaw carving, live music during the whole festival, kids’ activites, and of course, a great fireworks show on Saturday night!

Indulge your love of all things beachy at Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Arts Center’s annual Sea Glass and Beach Crafts Market! It’s the place to find all things handmade, homemade, or homegrown products — with a beachy twist! You will find sculpture, jewelry, handmade signs, stepping tones, paintings, drawings, small batch food, folkart, and so much more.
The market will take place Saturday, July 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the garden in Dowell. Admission to the market area is free.
