An Unexpected Use for Concrete – In a Room You Wouldn’t Expect

You’d forgiven for leaving bedroom off the list of places you’d expect to use concrete in or around your home.

Like you, I’d name driveways, sidewalks, patios, and the slab under your home as the first places I’d think of concrete being used. I’d even add kitchens to the list since concrete countertops have become more and more popular.

So when Home Designing posted a story called “Concrete Wall Designs: 30 Striking Bedrooms That Use Concrete Finish Artfully,” well, I couldn’t help but click. It’s not often you see “concrete” and “art” in the same sentence.

All I can say now is, “Wow!”

Home Designing was right when it said “each of these bedrooms express a completely different personality through concrete.” Though most have a definitely industrial, modern, and minimalist bent, I think you’ll be surprised at the variety of uses, textures, and finishes for concrete. I was!
