Annual “Big Conversation” Focuses on Local Schools

What progress has been made in our schools? What challenges do they face?

That’s the topic of the Annual Big Conversation – “Progress and Challenges in Our Schools” – this weekend in Lusby. The Big Conversation will take place Sunday, Jan. 27, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Patuxent High School,
12485 Southern Connector Blvd. in Lusby. Doors open for registration at 1:30 p.m.

The forum for this civil dialogue will consist of a panel discussion with a moderator and small group sessions lead by trained facilitators. In the small groups, participants are invited to share their stories and give feedback to the superintendents of schools and the commissioners of each county regarding their experiences and suggestions. A summary paper will be transmitted to the state and the Southern Maryland community as well.
