In addition to being a licensed REALTOR®, Kimberly Bean has over 20 years of experience in online and offline marketing, web development, social media, blogging, and event planning. She has dedicated her professional career to helping small businesses in Southern Maryland grow and succeed by helping them communicate effectively with their clients and potential clients. Many of her industry clients have included real estate agents, brokerages, as well as local builders. She was the former webmaster for the Southern Maryland Association of REALTORS® and is currently an Ambassador for Homesnap®, a Washington, DC based real estate platform for people to explore and search real estate listings.

Kimberly also specializes in making connections. She launched her website and magazine, Southern Maryland Weddings in 2002 to bring together local engaged couples and Southern Maryland’s wedding service providers. For 15 years, Southern Maryland Weddings was the premier resource for local wedding planning tips, bridal event news, and local wedding vendors. Today, Kimberly dedicates herself to real estate full time.

That dedication to making connections led Kimberly to launch the Southern Maryland Real Estate Network in 2013. The online (www.somdrealestatenetwork.com) and offline publication was created for two reasons: to educate consumers about the home buying and selling process and to connect them with real estate industry professionals and home services businesses. She created the Southern Maryland Real Estate Network Facebook group so real estate agents could easily share information about their property listings, open houses, and industry news and community happenings.

Known to throw a great party, Kimberly has also coordinated and marketed dozens of local builder and home buyer dinner parties and events to expose agents and consumers to many of the newest home communities in Calvert, Charles and St. Mary’s counties.

Kimberly has been married to her husband, Chris, a retired Captain with the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, since 1987. The two have four children and live in Berlin, Maryland. She has a special place in her heart for the law enforcement community and has worked closely to help many of them buy and sell homes in Southern Maryland. “Being married to a police officer, I understand their need for flexibility due to shift schedules, as well as safety and welfare for their families. They are my extended families.”

Kimberly is a member of St. Lukes Church in Ocean City and loves to give back to her community. She is member of the Ocean City Lady Knights Auxiliary and is active in her community HOA and a new member of the Greater Ocean City Chamber of Commerce.

Kimberly’s business philosophy is simple: “I believe in honesty, respect, professionalism, and education. My clients deserve it and should expect it. Setting expectations is what I demand of myself. It’s part of what creates a loyal client following.”
