Silent Auction Takes Bidders Back to the 1980s
Relive the decadent 1980s!
A Vintage Affair presents “Back to the 80s,” a silent auction to benefit the Chesapeake Public Charter School. The event will take place on Friday, March 1, from 7 to 11 0.m. at the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department, 46900 South Shangri-La Drive in Lexington Park.

HVFD Auxiliary Hosts Annual Spring Dinner
It’s a sure sign that spring is on the way: The Annual Spring Dinner in Hollywood!
The dinner will take place on Saturday, March 2, from 1 to 5 p.m. and is sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary of the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department. The event takes place in the department’s social hall, 24801 Three Notch Road in Hollywood.
The menu includes stuffed ham, fried oysters, chicken salad, parsley potatoes, sweet potatoes, coleslaw, green beans, beets, rolls, coffee, and tea. The meal is served buffet style. There will also be a bake table and
50/50 raffle.
Cost is $25 for adults, $10 for children age 4-12, and free for children 3 and younger. Carryout meals are $25 each.

Gala Concert and Silent Auction Benefits Young Musicians
Get glamorous and raise money for local youth musicians!
The Southern Maryland Youth Orchestra and Choir will host “A Little Night Music,” a gala concert and silent auction, on Saturday, March 2, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Holiday Inn Solomons
Conference Center and Marina, 155 Holiday Drive in Solomons.
The event is SMYOC’s annual major fundraising event. The evening features a silent auction, dinner, and performances by renowned guest artists and SMYOC’s six youth ensembles. The evening’s concert will feature Kurt Nikkanen, violinist and concertmaster of the New York City Ballet Orchestra; and Sharin Apostolou, singer and actress. The repertoire will include music by Vivaldi, Bach, Holst, Gershwin, Van Morrison, Victor C. Johnson, John Williams, and more.
