The calendar has flipped again, and it’s just a matter of time before holiday events of all kinds take over Southern Maryland’s calendar! Welcome November and enjoy the season at one of these events happening in Southern Maryland this weekend, Nov. 3-5, 2017.

Find Unique Gifts at St. Peter’s Holiday Craft Fair

Where can you find one-of-a-kind gifts?

At the annual craft fair at St. Peter’s Church in Waldorf!

The 43rd St. Peter’s Holiday Craft Fair will take place Saturday, Nov. 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at St. Peter’s School, 3310 St. Peter’s Dr. in Waldorf. Admission and parking are free.

Browse the handmade wares of more than 60 artisans set up throughout the school building. The kitchen will be open for breakfast, and the bake sale tables are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth! There will also be specialty tables for fair trade goods, silent auction items, pre-owned jewelry pieces, and flea market items.

The event is hosted by Court St. Peter #1618 of the Catholic Daughters of America. Proceeds benefit the organization’s spiritual and charitable initiatives in Charles County and beyond.

Jefferson Patterson Park Marks American Indian Heritage Day

Celebrate the lasting social, political, technological, and cultural contributions of Native Americans!

Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum will host its annual American Indian Heritage Day on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The park is located at 10515 Mackall Road in St. Leonard.

American Indian Heritage Day is an opportunity for all ages to have a hands-on experience of Calvert County’s earliest history and its indigenous people. Featuring the cultural gifts and demonstrations of the Piscataway Conoy Tribe, the day will include a drum circle, flute and musical performances, storytelling, crafts, vendors, artifacts, and life skills at JPPM’s recreated Woodland Indian Village.

Find Family Fun at the Carnival and Craft/Vendor Fair!

There will be fun for the whole family when King’s Christian Academy hosts its annual carnival this weekend!

The school’s Fifth Annual Community Carnival and Craft/Vendor Fair will take place Saturday, Nov. 4, from noon to 6 p.m. at the school at 20738 Point Lookout Road in Calloway.

More than 40 crafters ad vendors will be present to showcase their products or handmade items. At the carnival, you’ll find more than 35 carnival attractions including a zip line, rock climbing wall, laser tag, obstacle course, pony rides, carnival games, rides, and more.

Great carnival food will be available for purchase. Admission is free; carnival attractions are ticketed.
