Annmarie Market Goes to the Dogs
Bring your dog out to shop!
Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center will host a Dog Days of Summer Market on Saturday, Aug. 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the garden, which is located at 13740 Dowell Road in Solomons.
Vendors will showcase a wide assortment of items, along with a few surprises for four-legged friends! Food and drink will be available for sale, and there will be water and other amenities for pets. Well-behaved, leashed pets on short leashes are welcome at the market!

Celebrate Lighthouse Weekend in St. Mary’s County
National Lighthouse Day is Aug. 7, but you can celebrate this weekend in St. Mary’s County!
Two of the county’s lighthouses will host special events on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 3-4, for Lighthouse Weekend.
Piney Point Lighthouse Museum and St. Clement’s Island Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days with special events for the weekend.
At Piney Point, guests can enjoy tours of the museum, its Potomac River Maritime Exhibit, the lighthouse tower, and grounds. The keeper’s quarters and lighthouse will also be open for special tours featuring Lightkeeper

At St. Clement’s Island Museum, events include an open house at Blackistone Lighthouse on St. Clement’s Island. Tours of the lighthouse are

Head to the Beach – on the Leonardtown Square!
The beach comes to town on Saturday, Aug. 3!
Leonardtown’s annual Beach Party on the Square will take place Saturday, Aug. 3, from 4 to 9 p.m. on the square. Admission is free. Activities include heroes, jugglers, and balloon twisters; a giant fire truck
waterfall; Zumba, dancing, and live music; and volleyball. Join the local
Rotary Clubs at 7 p.m. sharp for the now-famous Running of the Balls!
