Historic St. Mary’s City Beerfest
When: Saturday, June 23; noon to 6 p.m.
Where: Historic St. Mary’s City, 47418 Old State House Road, St. Mary’s City
Details: Enjoy tasty beer from local and regional breweries in the shadow of the historic State House of 1676. Several food vendors will also be on hand, and the day is filled with live music and demonstrations from local homebrew groups. Grab a beer and browse the work of local artists and crafters.

DrinkMaryland
When: Saturday, June 23; noon to 5 p.m.
Where: North Beach
Details: Find local wine, beer, cider, and spirits at the annual DrinkMaryland event! This event features local craft beverages as well as food and art vendors.

SOMD Music Fest
When: June 29-30
Where: St. Mary’s County Fairgrounds, Leonardtown
Details: The 7th District Optimist Club presents this annual festival of country music, which this year features Parmalee, Chris Lane, Drivin’ Muzzy, Robbie Boothe, and Bradley Turner.

Celebrate Charles: A Fun-Filled Fourth
When: Wednesday, July 4; 4:30 p.m.
Where: Regency Furniture Stadium, 11765 Linus Drive, Waldorf
Details: Celebrate the Fourth of July with a bang! Enjoy local food and drinks, play in the Family Fun Zone, and hear great live entertainment. The night ends with a Southern Maryland Blue Crabs game (ticket required) and fireworks.

Potomac Jazz and Seafood Festival
When: Saturday, July 14; noon to 8 p.m.
Where: St. Clement’s Island Museum, 38370 Point Breeze Road, Colton’s Point
Details: Hear great jazz while you relax riverside on the museum lawn and take in the view. Lots of delicious seafood will be available for sale.

Southern Maryland Balloon Festival
When: Saturday, July 14; 3 p.m.
Where: Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum, 10515 Mackall Road, St. Leonard
Details: Up, up, and away at the second annual balloon festival! Take a tethered balloon ride and walk around inside a hot air balloon. Food truck vendors, craft vendors, and local community groups will also be on hand. Plus, the KIDZONE is even bigger this year!

“L’il” Margaret’s Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Festival
When: Aug, 9, 10, and 11
Where: Goddard Farm, 21810 Clay Hill Road, Leonardtown
Details: Three big days of bluegrass and old-time music return to Leonardtown this summer. The lineup includes a variety of bands that have one goal: To get your toes tapping! You can even camp on site for the weekend.

Country Life Fest 2018

Details: Love the great outdoors? This annual festival celebrates country living, hunting, fishing, and outdoorsy! Enjoy chainsaw carving, live music, the All-American Lumberjack Show, giveaways, vendors, and more.

Taste the Beaches

Where: Kellam’s Field, 3825 Gordon Stinnett Ave., Chesapeake Beach
