Marine Museum Hosts Ken and Brad Kolodner Trio with Rachel Eddy

Enjoy an evening of music at the Calvert Marine Museum!

The museum will host the Ken and Brad Kolodner Trio with Rachel Eddy on Friday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m. in the museum’s Harms Gallery. The museum is located in Solomons.

The trio plays driving, innovative and unique interpretations of traditional and original fiddle tunes and songs. The concert is part of the museum’s Maritime Performance Series.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Beer and wine will be available for sale.

Breton Bay Hosts Polar Bear Plunge

Will you take the plunge?

Prove you’ve got what it takes at the annual Breton Bay Polar Bear Plunge this Saturday, Jan. 28, from 1 to 4 p.m. The event will take place at the Breton Bay Community Beach, which is on Society Hill Road in Leonardtown. The event is free, but canned donations will be collected for St. Mary’s Caring Soup Kitchen.

After the event, join fellow plungers for a Post-Plunge Party at the Avenmar Community Clubhouse, which is located at the end of Heron Way off Bretmar Drive. Bring a shareable snack or appetizer and the beverage of your choice. The party will take place immediately following the plunge.

Cabaret Benefits St. Maries Choral Arts

St. Maries Choral Arts will host its 3rd Annual Cabaret Fundraiser on Sunday, Jan. 29, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event will take place at Elements Eatery and Mixology, 46580 Expedition Dr. in Lexington Park.

The performances will feature solo and group acts from the choir’s membership. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Tickets are $25 each, and seating is limited. Purchase tickets online at http://www.smchoralarts.org/concert-tickets.
