If you’re looking to treat your date to something great in Southern Maryland this weekend, check out these fun tasting and dinner events! They’re all happening this weekend, Feb. 23-25, 2018.

Try Local Wines and Learn About Saving Local Land

Do you want to learn more about land conservation in Southern Maryland?

The Patuxent Tidewater Land Trust will host a Wine Meet & Greet on Friday, Feb. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Port of Leonardtown Winery, 23190 Newtowne Neck Road in Leonardtown.

The event is the perfect opportunity to socialize, drink local wines, and learn more about saving land. Conservation professionals and PTLT staff and board members will be on hand to talk with you about the benefits of area land conservation. Find out whether your property might benefit from a conservation easement.

New board member David Moulton will lead a short discussion about the critical connections between land conservation and the variety of birds still present in St. Mary’s County, particularly open grassland species. Moulton, an avid birder, is the field trip coordinator for the Southern Maryland Audubon Society and also serves on the board of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.

RSVP to [email protected]. Get more information by calling 301-862-3421. Learn more about the PTLT at http://www.patuxent-tidewater.org/ and https://www.facebook.com/Paxtidewater/.

At least 13 distilleries will be participating from all over the state. They will offer tastings and the opportunity to purchase their craft spirits. Cost is $55 for VIP admission and $45 for general admission. Your ticket includes full access to the museum, live entertainment, light appetizers, and more.
