Motown Night at the American Legion
Dance the night away to your favorite Motown tunes!
The Sons of the American Legion Stallings-Williams Post 206 will host Motown Night on Saturday, Dec. 29, from 8 p.m. to midnight. The dance will take place at the post, which is located at 3330 Chesapeake Beach Road
East in Chesapeake Beach.
DJ Stephen Varney will spin your favorite Motown music beginning at 8 p.m. Cost is $10 per person and includes draft beer and sodas. Tickets are
available at the door, and the public is welcome to attend.

St. Mary’s Libraries Celebrate Noon Year’s Eve
Even those with early bedtimes can have the fun of a New Year’s Eve party! The St. Mary’s County Public Library will host two Noon Year’s
Eve parties with dongs, crafts, and awesome activities. No registration
required!
The party will take place Friday, Dec. 28, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Leonardtown branch at 23250 Hollywood Road in Leonardtown; and Monday, Dec. 31, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Lexington Park branch
at 23250 FDR Blvd. in Lexington Park.

Countdown to Noon Year’s Eve in Calvert County
You don’t have to stay up late to ring in 2019!
The Calvert Public Library will host Noon Year’s Eve parties at three of its branches on Monday, Dec. 31. The parties begin at 11 a.m. at the Prince Frederick (850 Costley Way in Prince Frederick), Southern (13920 HG Truman Road in Solomons), and Twin Beaches (3819 Harbor Road in Chesapeake Beach) branches.
The parties last until noon and include stories, activities, and more! It ends with a big countdown to noon with an apple juice toast. Fancy attire is optional.
